Being his age, Kristiaan makes the other band-members seem very old all of a sudden. And though he's only 23, the snakes and him go back a long way. Peter met him er.. 23 years ago as his newborn nephew. Kristiaan has been a dedicated snakes fan for years, and we've been told there was no family-pressure involved. On a sunday in july 1995, coming back from attending a snakes gig near Leuven, the twelve year old Kristiaan spoke these prophetic words to his aunty Mariël who drove the car: playing in a band like uncle Peter does, must be fantastic.. He picked up the drumsticks at the age of 10 and he already has a tremendous musical background. When playing with the snakes as the successor of Gette De Deken, he's a terrific folk-drummer. He's king of the skins in his own groove-rock-band 'Lionize' and for a few years now, he's into jazz as well.
