In 1993
the decision was taken to go for folk and not for grunge, but still there was no name for the band. A fortnight after the crucial decision had been taken, the band was asked to give some concerts in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to promote a well known Irish stout. Inspired by the advertisement of the same beer, the band performed for a while as 'Good for you'... Well, we all have off days. Later this name was changed into 'Good, Fat and Ugly'. Some fans however, didn't understand why the band liked this not too flattering name and preferred to say: 'the GFU's'.
Another change forced itself upon the boys. At the end of a long night of brainstorming, they stumbled across the name 'Snakes in Exile'. We present you a number of pictures from the band's history. The album only fits on a 640x480 screen resolution when the menubar and the like are removed. Your browser does not support javascript, so we can't do this job for you. If you do not want to remove the necessary items from your browser but do want to see the pictures, feel free to visit the gallery. It is less fancy than the album, but contains the same pictures. It also fits
on a 640x480 screen and does not use frames. gallery album |
